Mayhap there be a little thistle faery near by? Shaking her head in the winter skies... Mayhap she be in need of new finger on glove? Perhaps she be searching for love... Mayhap my hands will hold her dear? Then she stops quaking from her fear.
Also I have been listening to Mumford and Sons a lot lately and I was thinking about this song while trying to take photos in the Winter sunlight :3
'Thistle and Weeds'
Spare me your judgements and spare me your dreams, Cause recently mine have been tearing my seams, I sit alone in this winter clarity which clouds my mind, Alone in the wind and the rain you left me, It's getting dark darling, too dark to see, And I'm on my knees, and your faith in shreds, it seems.
Corrupted by the simple sniff of riches blown, I know you have felt much more love than you've shown, And I'm on my knees and the water creeps to my chest.
But plant your hope with good seeds, Don't cover yourself with thistle and weeds, Rain down, rain down on me, Look over your hills and be still, The sky above us shoots to kill, Rain down, rain down on me.
But I will hold on I will hold on hope
I begged you to hear me, there's more than flesh and bones, Let the dead bury their dead, they will come out in droves, But take the spade from my hands and fill in the holes, you've made.
But plant your hope with good seeds, Don't cover yourself with thistle and weeds, Rain down, rain down on me.
About 4 months ago now we took in a stray cat that a friend had been watching over and she was pregnant with three lovely wee kittens, two boys and a girl, this is them once all three had been born (one is a day younger than the other two).
Here they are taking their first steps! Toby is helping ;o)
After a while it was obvious that Toby didn't understand how gentle you had to be with them, so they were moved into the spare bedroom where this awesomely horrid bed spread was located. They had been playing under the bed and were so sleepy :3
This is back in the lounge room when they were feeling more adventurous and wanted to be near the fire.
Yesterday the first of them was homed with a friend and named Sherlock. We spent the afternoon at her house playing with him while he got used to his new surroundings, there was much batting at dust in the sun light, hiding behind chairs and loud purring from pats.
